Site Accessibility
Not everyone uses a standard keyboard and mouse to access the web. Users of some consumer brand portable and mobile devices find that navigating a site via keyboard commands is easier than using the built in pointing devices. For users with disabilities, a computer mouse or even a monitor can be difficult if not impossible to use.
A major initiative of the W3C is to develop standards for web accessibility. Primarily focused on making the web accessible to users with disabilities, these standards have the added benefit of making sites more accessible to users of restrictive devices such as mobile phones and users operating under constraints such as an over or under-illuminated room, noisy environment, hands free environment, etc. Accessibility guidelines explain how to make multimedia content more accessible to a wider audience.
At a minimum, all pages in this site conform to W3C v1.0 level "A" guidelines for accessibility.
