Taking advantage of the DMS 10's versatile architecture, Nortel designers added select SS7 capabilities thereby enabling the DMS 10 to cost effectively perform the traffic routing function of an STP

The DMS 10 STP offers enhanced SS7 capabilities for rural and suburban networks. It provides IN capabilities, global title translations (GTT) and full subnetwork Custom Local Area Signaling Services (CLASS) along with an optional calling name database capability.

For the rural and suburban markets, full SS7 support is required and adding select STP capabilities added to the DMS 10's reputation for being a reliable, versatile, scalable and cost effective telecommunications platform.
